Paula Mullooly is General Counsel and Head of A&L Goodbody's Risk team.
She has extensive experience in litigation, regulatory and media law and has held key positions in legal advisory and regulatory roles throughout her career both in private practice and in the State sector. She has been involved in some of the most high profile defamation and privacy cases in this jurisdiction.
Paula was also a member of the Government’s Working Group on Defamation Reform which in 2003, provided a report recommending reforms and presenting draft legislation. Additionally she served on the Compliance Committee of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland from 2010 to 2018 overseeing broadcasting standards and compliance. She chaired the Censorship of Publications Appeals Board from 2004 to 2012.
Paula has spoken regularly at conferences and has lectured at the Law Society of Ireland.
